What you’ll create and do

Today, organizations are striving to improve business performance, effectively managing through crises and getting the most value from transactions. Risk assurance involves identifying, understanding and managing risk of our clients, and discovering where those risk mitigation strategies can be converted into business opportunities. We do this through our collective expertise and by always challenging the status quo to find new, innovative approaches.

Our Risk Assurance professionals use technology and analytics to bring new advancements and efficiencies to our clients, all while excelling in teaming and leadership. From strategy through execution, we help clients build their next competitive advantage.

As an associate, your tasks and responsibilities will consist in the following:

  • Perform the audit work optimally within the timelines and budgets established in the planning phase;
  • Ensure constant communication with the senior associate and manager responsible for the assignments that will be assigned to you;
  • Document clearly and concisely the design, implementation and operating effectiveness of business practices and controls when performing audit work and validate their relevance and quality;
  • Conduct analyzes of the impact of control deficiencies, noted during execution of the work, on the financial data and on the audit strategy as a whole;
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships within the department as well as with clients;
  • Actively monitor external IT trends, remote access features, authentication mechanisms, threat and risk assessments, intrusion testing and vulnerability assessments, and gain insight into with regard to these subjects;
  • Seize business development opportunities to offer the services of other departments to our clients and to offer our services to new potential customers.

What you’ll bring to this role

As an Associate, you will be a critical part of our rapid growth, helping us support our existing clients as well as establishing new business relationships and finding new opportunities. We offer a fun, dynamic work environment with lots of opportunity to gain exposure to multiple industries, multiple competencies, and expand your overall expertise in leading-edge risk management practices. We invest a great deal in our staff through training and a formal coaching/mentoring program.

In this role you will:

  • Enable clients in various industries to strengthen their risk management, internal control and cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Provide services to enhance the value provided by existing internal audit, compliance and risk management functions, including strategic advisory, outsourcing and co-sourcing solutions.
  • Cover the full range of value protection to value enhancement through governance and process reviews, value for money and compliance audits.
  • Provide risk advisory services spanning Information technology, cybersecurity, financial, operational, compliance, strategic and emerging risks.
