Overview Established in 1836 in Quebec, Canada, Bishop’s College School (BCS) is an IB World School offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and certificates.

The Position

Reporting to the Director of Academics, the position of Mathematics teacher will commence in August 2024 – full-time (one-year replacement contract) for the teaching of students from grades 10 – 12. In grades 11-12, the school offers the IB Diploma Programme mathematics courses.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

● Teaching certification from a Canadian province or equivalent. ● Experience teaching Quebec and IB/international curricula would be an advantage. ● A proven and relevant academic background. ● Experience working with diverse cultures would be an advantage. ● Ability to use and integrate technology into the classroom. ● Strong interest in and personal commitment to working with youth. ● Ability to plan and organize work to meet changing priorities and needs of students. ● Familiarity with best practices and approaches to teaching and learning that fully engage students. ● Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively. ● Use of diverse strategies and open to new ideas. ● Flexible, compassionate, reflective, and self-motivator.

Applicants must have a willingness to commit to the full co-curricular program of the school including boarding and other duties.
