Job Title: Clean Community Team Manager

Department: SRC Operations – Clean Community Team

Expected Hours: Approximately 4-8 hours/week

Hour Rate: $16.25 /hour

Job Summary: The Clean Community Team Manager (CCTM) is employed and managed by the Students’ Representative Council of Bishop’s University.  The MOS (Manager of Operations and Services) directly oversees the success of the Team and maintains the relationship between the Clean Community Team and other departments of the SRC and university community. The goal of the Clean Community Team is to keep our campus and community trash free while practicing and promoting environmental sustainability.

Requirements:

  • Must be a full-time or part-time degree student at Bishop’s University for the 2024-2025 school year
  • Must be available to work Friday and/or Sunday early mornings.

Nature of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning Rue Connolly, Rue Little Forks, Rue Reed, and Rue College from campus to Rue Queen, and many primary foot traffic paths on campus, an exact territory map will be provided.
  • Cleaning shifts start at 7:30 a.m. on most Friday and Sunday Mornings throughout each semester, as well as a select few special dates throughout the year.
  • During each shift, the CCTM will recycle whatever they find that is recyclable.
  • With respect to the territory they cover, the CCTM will report to the GMO any trash or recycling-related issues that they observe during their shift.
  • On occasion, the CCTM may be asked to provide project support on other green initiatives the SRC is undertaking.
  • The CCTM is responsible for making the Clean Community Team schedule, including coordinating any time off requests and other scheduling problems that may arise.
  • Must communicate with the MOS when the team is low on supplies and gear for their duties.
