Overview

Thomas Pick, BU ’66, and his wife Margot, are looking for someone, or several people, to help them out in North Hatley beginning in early May. They will be there for the following six months. Thomas has been battling scleroderma for about a year. The dexterity in his hands is only about 50%, causing him much trouble functioning around the house.  He is also very fatigued. Margot has frontotemporal dementia which is in its mid stages. She functions very well but has completely lost her short-term memory. She is no longer able to drive. She is very pleasant to be with and gets along with everyone.

They are looking for someone to do some cooking, some cleaning up, some shopping in Magog & Sherbrooke, and mainly spending time with Margot so that Thomas can have time away in order to “recharge his batteries”.

Ideally, one female person would be hired for 35 hours a week, at $25 per hour subject to increases due to good performance. The second person hired would be for evenings and weekends, also at $25 per hour.
